Portraits

I have produced numerous portrait commissions, from busts to full figures. As a student, I was approached by the BBC to produce a clay bust for the Television program Hartbeat. This led to an anniversary present, a head and shoulders bust of the couple’s young children and also a bust of prominent Bristol business man.

I aim to capture the character energy and feeling of any sitter which is why I prefer to work from life as this gives me the chance to really get to know the person who I am sculpting. I find this vitally important since to really capture a likeness you  also have to breathe the life and essence of that person into the portrait.
